This Town, Daily – Elko NV

Forgive us, we are in the process of rehydrating. Even inside and out of the heat, these incoming storms have our headquarters sweltering under the heat. Regardless! The adventures must go on and today we travel for our Wednesday shenanigans to Elko, Nevada.

We would like to introduce you to the “This Town, Daily” articles. Each day, the crew here at 411US.info will use our web service to gather and process information about a given town, city, or zip code. Then we write up a brief overview about the unique wonderfulness each place in America has. Remember, you can do this yourself for any town. We suggest starting with your hometown to get the feel for our service. Check out this article, then head on over to our website and look at your own hometown. Don’t forget to make 411US.info your homepage before you leave!

Still rather warm out there in the west with a balmy 89 degrees, just wait until the evening and then everything cools down and the night life is on. Elko is the first real college town that we have ventured out to. Great Basin College sits in the northern part of town and is recorded to have an excellent nursing school. There are many advantages to visiting a college town, and these can be taken advantage of mostly by the younger travelers. The night life and events to do on the cheap serve the college students during the school year, but because of the administration of the institution there are undoubtedly more upscale locations and hotels. Both of these are absolutely true.

First things first, we have noticed that you are absolutely good on traffic today so go out and do whatever you would like with stress-free travel. With the 4th of July weekend, we suggest staying through the festivities, especially if you want a non-conventional experience to celebrate America during. The Basque Festival will be taking off early in the morning and will be going all day long.

Be sure to stay at the star hotel. Potential employees of the Great Basin College absolutely have a great place to stay, and it hosts a wonderful classy restaurant to spend a romantic evening with your spouse. During the festival would be a great time to try out plenty of the local dives as well. College kids sure know how to keep these places open and The Blind Onion is no exception. That pizza looks amazing!
