The most important thing for America now, when we the pluribus – Red/Blue, rich/poor, R/D – forget the unum, is this advice:

“A human being is part of a whole … experiences himself … as something separated from the rest … a kind of … delusion. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.” – Albert Einstein 

Maybe we Americans are smarter than Einstein.
Maybe we need to ask ourselves if we are part of, and have compassion for, all parts of the unum.
